Francesca Peacock is a writer and arts journalist based in London.
She has written essays, features, and reviews for publications including the Telegraph, The Times, The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, Spectator, and Prospect. Her writing has led to appearances on podcasts and radio, including BBC R4’s Today programme and Front Row.
Francesca’s first book, Pure Wit: The Revolutionary Life of Margaret Cavendish, was published by Head of Zeus in September 2023 in the United Kingdom, and by Pegasus Books in January 2024 in the United States. Pure Wit was a Spectatorand History Todaybook of the year for 2023, and received starred reviews in Kirkus and Publishers Weekly.
